These are actual before and after photos of our cosmetic dentistry patients. Various techniques in cosmetic dentistry are listed below. We welcome you to our office to show you what we can do to give you a beautiful, vibrant, and natural smile.

Whitening:
We offer two whitening procedures:

1. BriteSmile: This is the latest in whitening technology. Developed by Dr. John Warner, a NASA scientist, BriteSmile can whiten your teeth in the office in about an hour. We are the "first" and the "only" office in Frederick to offer BriteSmile. We offer a no fee in office consultation for those interested in BriteSmile. Further information on BriteSmile can be obtained by clicking onto the BriteSmile web-site @ www.britesmilewhitening.com
2. We can whiten your teeth using the traditional at home overnight two week procedure.

Porcelain Laminate Veneers:
Custom fabricated jackets can be placed on your existing teeth to enhance the look of your smile. Thin laminates or jackets are fabricated from special tooth colored materials and can change the color, size, spacing, and texture of your existing teeth. The laminates are actually bonded onto the surface of your existing teeth, giving your smile a dynamic, natural look.

Porcelain Crowns and Bridges:
Custom fabricated materials crafted to replace defects in teeth resulting from cavities. These materials can restore teeth to their original size, color, and shape. The material can also be fabricated to replace a missing tooth, allowing a patient to maintain esthetics and function without the need for a removable denture.

Bonding Materials:
We can sculpt specially colored materials and bond them to your teeth to fill cavities, and strengthen fractured and chipped teeth. The bonding material can also be used to replace unsightly silver fillings. The bonding material can be blended to duplicate surrounding tooth colors and shapes making them virtually impossible to detect from your natural teeth.

Esthetic Crown lengthening (gum lift):
The "gummy smile" is one of the most overlooked conditions in dentistry. Patients usually accept this condition thinking they just have short teeth. The problem however is not short teeth, but most often, too much gum tissue. The excess gum tissue covers the unexposed enamel resulting in a "gummy smile". The diagnosis for these patients is often "altered passive eruption". These patients often have excessive bone height and thickness that result in a higher location of the gingival (gum) margin. "Lifting" the gums to the proper level can make a dramatic improvement in the smile. We are keenly aware of how the gums "frame" the teeth. The best esthetic results will only be achieved if all components of the smile are properly evaluated.
